hotel quality September 9, 2010 T. Burkes This is the best flatware I have ever had. The weight reminds me of the flatware used in a good hotel for breakfast, lunch, even dinner. I ordered another set after receiving and trying out the first set.
Classy Starter Set August 20, 2010 emma I received this set as a wedding gift. I love it! I wanted a set that had enough pieces that I wouldn't be forced to run the dishwasher too often, but that didn't have more pieces than required for two people who sometimes invite a few friends over.
The utensils are good quality, and their design is simple and classy. I liked these because, if I changed the "look" of my dining room table, as I often do, I wouldn't need a whole different flatware set. These utensils can be used for formal or casual dining, and seem to be holding up quite well.
Surprisingly Excellent! June 16, 2010 Aunt Suni (Kansas City) I gave my father the set of stainless I received when I was married many years ago. After a year of using silverplate, I wanted stainless again. After lots of searching and comparing, I thought I'd try these (even though they are made in China).
I'm picky - and I am very pleased!
Every piece is well balanced, feels very good in the hand, and is just the right size.
Very nice flatware! April 14, 2010 M. Lichlyter (Colorado Springs, CO USA) I purchased this flatware to replace the everyday tableware that we used for almost forty years. I'm very pleased with the new set. It looks very attractive and it has a nice weight to it. The design is classic enough to go on a traditional table but it would work on some contemporary tables as well. The pieces have a lovely shine and they're very comfortable to handle.
Zwilling flatware Made in China February 23, 2010 LoveToGlitter (Georgia, USA) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is nice flatware but it is NOT made in Germany by the Zwilling/Henckels company. It is made in CHINA. Nowhere in the listing(s) for this flatware is that fact mentioned. It is very pointedly marketed as a Zwilling/J.A. Henckels product, and I spent quite a while reading the listings before deciding to purchase it. I bought it for my two sons and their wives. My sons' father is from Germany and we wanted to give them something that had special meaning and a connection to their heritage. What better than "Heritage Zwilling" flatware from Germany? I ordered and waited with great excitement for the flatware to arrive. I told my husband and sons about the special flatware I had ordered. (We had all visited the Zwilling/Henckels factory on a visit with family in Germany). The flatware finally arrived. I can't even describe my disappointment and disgust at discovering that it was not made in Germany, nor even the US---it was Made in China. I could have bought any of a thousand kinds of flatware Made in China at any chain department or discount store. The flatware is nice, but not ESPECIALLY nice, and it has absolutely no special meaning whatsoever to us. Had I known it was Made in China I would never have bought it. I would have stuck with Oneida. BE WARNED!! This "Zwilling/J.A. Henckels" flatware is MADE IN CHINA !!!!!
