I ordered the 20-piece flatware set, as a wedding gift. I haven't given the gift yet. I have however looked at the flatware and it is gorgeous, just as it was pictured. Very satisfied with my purchase from Amazon, and as always the shipping is fast.

After years of debating, I finally bought this flatware set. What a difference over my old set. These utensils have nice long handles that are or feel like wrought iron, and are very sturdy! The only thing I would change is the smaller spoon is very close in size to the larger spoon. I'm simply used to something noticeably smaller. I enjoy music, so Trebel Clef is a fun set to have. My husband says the design reminds him of the first movie we ever saw together.

I have had this set for many years now and love them as much as the day I first saw them. The black handles have faded slightly, but are still quite rustic and earthy looking (which is what drew me to them) You may retain the darker finish by not put them in the dishwasher. As for quality, they have never bent nor have I ever found any rust spots on them. And in regards to the size that others have mentioned in their reviews, they are on the large size (esp. the table spoon) as it was intended to be. This set, if anything, can be called manly. Much like those oversized stake knifes they give you at up-scale steak houses, this set is not meant to be dainty or delicate, but large and masculine to go along with the hammered iron finish of the handles. If you are looking for petite flatware, you will find them with a nice little rose motif on the handle.

I'm a bachelor and I just purchased eight place settings of this stainless flatware along with the serving pieces, because it looked rugged, handsome and I thought it looked fantastic. Well my order arrived today, April 22, 2010, and I can tell you unequivocally that this flatware is GORGEOUS and then some!!!! It is solid 18/10 stainless steel, extremely durable; all of it is hand made and has a very solid feel in your hand. Each piece is all stainless steel and the handles are left in that matte flat black rugged look. This flatware is guaranteed for 50 years, but just by the way it is made I can tell you that there is no way that you are ever going to destroy this flatware.
I thought the other reviews on this website were very, very helpful and I was very glad to see that others loved this stuff as much as I do. If you purchase this you will be extremely happy with it without any doubt!!!! Enjoy!!!!!!
A perfect match to Pottry Barn Fiddlehead November 16, 2009

My husband and I registered for the Pottery Barn Fiddlehead flatware when we got married 10 years ago. To my horror, a spoon got thrown away at Thanksgiving a few years ago. Pottery Barn stopped making these and they have no way to get replacements, so I assumed I'd never replace the spoon. When I saw these, I figured they were worth a shot, especially at 1/3 of the Pottery Barn price. I am thrilled to report that the two sets of flatware look identical.
These are oversized, as one reviewer noted, which might be a downfall, unless you're trying to match a Pottery Barn set, in which case they are the perfect size. As a bonus, this line also makes a variety of serving pieces (Pottery Barn only had a 2-piece serving set), as well as a line of mini forks, spoons and knives which I bought for appetizers and condiments.
I am completely pleased with this set. It looks much more expensive than it really is, and it matches my current set perfectly. I love the look of these pieces, and I am very glad that I gave them a try.
