5 out of 5 stars So smart!!!   March 8, 2010

Makes feeding my baby a walk in the park! So handy when you are on the go.

3 out of 5 stars Nice, but I prefer the competition's product   March 5, 2010
NJJ (Metro New Orleans)
The concept of this product is great, and if it were the only one of its kind, I'd recommend it without reservation. However, there's a similar, competing product (also sold by Amazon) that I prefer over this one. It's clear, so you can see how much food remains in the handle and/or whether you need to tap it to bring down any food stuck to the walls of the container. In addition, it has volume markings, which are especially useful for mixing cereal or monitoring portions. Also, the Boon Squirt is not as easy to squeeze as the competing model. Both models have the same drawbacks, which are that the spoons are (1) hard, and (2) a little large for the mouths of the younger babies for which they're made (older babies eat thicker/more textured food, which would not be compatible with these products).

To be sure, the Boon Squirt is a good product. It's great for feedings on the go, and is an excellent way to minimize messes. However, unless fun, bright colors are of paramount importance to you, there's another option that's got a little more functionality.

5 out of 5 stars LOVE IT   February 26, 2010

i love this spoon, it is so easy to use and saves a ton of hassle while we are out, which is all the time. my husband almost died when i told him it cost 8 dollars but id buy ten more still. it is easy to fill (says only 3ozs but i've never had a problem fitting a whole 4oz jar), dispenses easy, and cleans up easy. what more could you ask for

5 out of 5 stars One of my favorite inventions!!   February 21, 2010

I really enjoy this it is perfect! Makes feedings alot easier and a lot less messy. Very easy to clean just make sure to rinse it right after using so that food doesnt dry inside the little tube. Every one needs one of these.

4 out of 5 stars Great spoon with a few issues   February 19, 2010
Catherine L (Queens, NY)
I love this spoon, but we only used it for a month or two. My daughter wasn't interested in being spoon fed and wanted to feed herself, so after a month or two using this we put it away and focused more on finger foods and only occasionally use it for yogurt or oatmeal.

Two problems:
-It obviously only works for pureed foods. Once we were onto finger foods or things with chunks it didn't work.
-If you're making your own food (as we did) you have to make sure it's a very smooth puree. Pea skins, little bits of mango that weren't totally pureed (I mean tiny little chunks that the blender missed and you wouldn't notice otherwise) can get stuck and make it hard to get the food out. I imagine this isn't an issue if you're using jarred food, but if you are making your own food it's something to keep in mind.

That said, I love the design, it's obviously of very high quality, it helps keep mealtimes much cleaner and easier, and it's very cute. Also, unlike the regular spoons my daughter did not try to grab this one, presumably because it was too big for her to grab. So consider how long you'll actually use it before buying.
